My first joint

For those of you who like to hear "first time" stories, I just smoked the first jay that I've ever rolled. Now, the first time I smoked weed was.. yep, you guessed it, on 4/20. Two years ago, with a pipe. I smoked occasionally now and then, and experienced using a waterfall, a couple make-shift bong using a water bottle (one time with the use of alcohol, which got me fucked up six ways from Sunday), and my bong. So compared to most of you, I'm a noob, and I have no problems with that. But this is the first time I've ever smoked a joint. I liked it, and it certainly won't be my last.

Up until now, I've been using my bong, which is great. It's only a 1 footer, and it's acrylic, because I didn't want to invest in something that could break easily so soon into my weed-smoking career (which will last another 5 months until I join the military.. I almost typed joint right there.) I love my bong and it provides nice, smooth hits. Anyway..

I sat out on my front porch and lit up, it burned nice and slow. It was full of mids because that's all I have right now. I was out there for about 15 minutes. For something that is only an inch and a half long (in terms of weed amount though.. 2 inches including the roach), I think that's pretty good. I smoked it right to the roach and enjoyed it. I did, however, have to re-light it several times, and I'm thinking that's because there were gaps in between the weed and it didn't catch or something. Or maybe because it was a bit windy out there. I dunno. The one I smoked was probably the tightest one that I rolled, as I rolled 3 joints yesterday.

But yeah, I enjoyed it. I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about when I say that the feeling of sitting outside on a beautiful day where it's not too hot and it's not too cold, sitting and enjoying the weather and smoking something you rolled yourself.. it's indescribable.

I'm really feeling it right now, so I'm going to go listen to some music and relax.. :smokin:

Bit of a shameless bump here. I'd like to know if having to relight a joint is normal, and if not, why. =]

Feeling fresh air, and maybe a light breeze, on your face while stoned is way more interesting than otherwise.

Rolling joints too tight causes them to go out sometimes due to lack of airflow.

I think that happened because of the gapes he mentioned...

i love rolling joints and then going into the mountains to smoke em...

used to do it all the time before i moved into the dorms cuz of college.....

but ya there are a number of reasons, you couldve left gaps like you said, or rolled it to tight, didnt break up the weed good enough, rolled it to loose at those parts...

or forgot you were smoking it and let it go out.. haha :stoned:
