Healthier Cannabis Food
THC is not soluble in water, but it does disolve in fat and alcohol (and apparently in glycerine) and that is why all the recipes use some kind of fat or alcohol. It is necessary in order to transport the THC into your system. If you are worried about fat and alcohol for heart disease risk, then one option is to select a form of fat that is not as unhealthy, like olive oil.
Or you need to make concentrated recipes that pack a lot of THC into a small amount of fat or alcohol, so you are not consuming that much fat or alcohol per dose. For example, you mentioned recipes that use a whole stick of butter, but those recipes can be made with a lot of weed so they are very concentrated --- you don't eat the whole stick at one sitting. Some of the alcohol recipes, like Master Wu's Green Dragon recipe, use hard alcohol, but most of the alcohol is evaporated away, and a dose is only 1 eye dropper full. It sounds like the glycerine recipe is very concentrated too, so you are only consuming a few drops of glycerine at any given time. Even the most heart healthy diets probably allow enough wiggle room so that you could safely consume the small amounts of fat or alcohol in the really concentrated recipes.dragonrider Reviewed by dragonrider on . Healthier Cannabis Food Alright guys, I have major heart disease in my family. The one thing about all of the recipes is that they are extremely unhealthy for you, containing entire sticks of butter or quantities of hard alcohol. I like to live a healthy life, and I resolve that such is possible even with my heavy weed usage. There must be another way to eat cannabis while respecting good health. Does anyone know?
