This is what makes me angry
Medical Marijuana in Australia - Spring 1995

Last November, politicians in the Australian Capital Territory voted to allow doctors to determine when marijuana is medically appropriate. The decision enraged the Australian Federal Police and intensive lobbying efforts began to reverse the legislative action. In a scene that has become all too familiar, legislators caved-in to the demands of the police, reversed their earlier action, and voted to block doctors from legally prescribing marijuana.
How can the police override a fucking medical decision?
Would they even try to stop certain annoying aspects of peoples religions? Fuck no.

Specifically, the attitudes towards marijuana? Every single fucking time I read about the police/feds busting a 19 year old kid having his life ruined because he had 4 grams of pot on him, or some guy in New Mexico who is in a wheelchair growing some pot to keep himself sane and in some measure of comfort, or a MS patient with 2 plants for Rating: 5
