    being consciously awake while dreaming

i spent an entire day in a dream once and woke up only to find it had only lasted the night... i still remember distinct parts of what i did that day in the dream, i did a full shift at my work and conversed with people, came home, hung out with some freinds, went to target and bought a cd, etc... i remember it all to the point i went to bed for the night in the dream... i went to bed on a tuesday night and woke up and thought it was thursday because i thought i had just spent my wednesday in real life, it was all so very realistic and detailed, very disorienting upon awakening

everyone has several dreams every night you just dont remember them when you wake up you just have to train yourself to remember them which isnt really that hard at all.

not really, aside from having withdrawls.... just picture solitary confinement in prison movies...

that's basicly suicide watch... you have no room mates, you're locked up in a cell with nothing but a padded matress, a toilet/sink combo and yourself.

not much else to do but sleep

also from what i remember REM sleep is the enemy of lucid dreaming..... which made it all the easier... kinda hard to fall into heavy sleep when you're not tired and you got lights in your eyes 24/7

no with practice you become better and better... but like i said, REM (deep) sleep is the enemy of it... if you take pills you're basicly exempt from lucid dreaming... also if you haven't slept in a good while...

if you're a light sleeper you're a good candidate for learning it.

The tanks are called floatation tanks, isolation tanks, or sensory deprivation tanks. I heard Joe Rogan talking about them he said being inside of one is alot like being high. I've never tried it although I plan to someday.

Just one detail here... the REM sleep is not the deep one.

In NREM sleep, the body is active and the brain inactive, and there is relatively little dreaming. Non-REM encompasses four stages; stages 1 and 2 are considered 'light sleep', and 3 and 4 'deep sleep'.

Anyway... im in fact a light sleeper. I LOVE to sleep, so i sleep more than my body needs... and, its when i usually have this lucid dreams. So, more a good reason for sleeping...
