do english people think americans talk funny?

English people like to make fun of the southern accent, my friends found Berry Cooper's accent especially hilarious when baked or otherwise. American's immitate a posh Queenesque acccent because they can't do a scouser or a geordie, hell they don't even know what they are lol. It's funny because i'm half Enlgish half American but was born in London, i lived in America for 2 years and i visit there like every year pretty much. I don't like America's harsh drug laws, well at least in NJ and no free medical care and expensive ass colleges. I don't like london anymore because of what a chav hole and gang central it's become, it's expensive as hell and picking up can be a hassle sometimes. Which is why i can't wait to move to the Netherlands...

Words i can think of right now are:

    Candy/Sweets
    Sidewalk/pavement
    Sneakers/Trainers
    Cletes/Boots
    Soccer/Football
    Football/American Football
American slang for ganj that i know, dank, piff, dro, fire, kush, kb, beasters, mids, schwag
English: Draw, skunk, punk, puff, benz, hen, score, 2 and a blue, pox, thai, 9bar, zute, bill up
Puma is pronounced differently, aswell as Adidas and Nike

I know there's more but i can't think of any at the moment.

Actually, I really like the way you guys over the pond use English. The slang is really interesting for me to hear.

Oh, and hyphy, other than South Park imitations, I haven't really heard hella outside of Nor Cal.

I do think americans talk funny, I think English people talk funny too. I can only reconise a texas accent from America. England/UK is a funny place for accents, within 100 miles there can be loads of different accents. I hope a lot of Americans dont think we all sound posh like they portray us on TV.

Im used to hearing American words such as sidewalk and trunk, and how you say tom-ate-o instead of tom-art-o because I have watched a lot of American TV programmes. You guys make some fantastic TV and movies.

Some English, Scottish and Irish people dont like to be just classed as british, I dont care though.

Actually, to me there's nothing funnier than going to a Chinese restaurant and chatting with with one of the workers in English, and then have them have the strongest Asian accent you've ever heard. We actually had one guy explain it to us while we ate. He says when we talk to him, he at first tries registering what we say in Chinese. Then when it doesn't make any sense he tries it in English and that's why it takes him a few seconds to reply. He's a good guy, always wearing some sort of different hat when we go up there.
