I hope I did not make a huge mistake (Fungus related) PLEASE HELP
Hey guys, I had some fungus on one of my plant and used a sulphur-based fungicide on the bud to control the outbreak. I got scared and splayed all my flowering plants.
I just realized by reading about the subject that I should not have used a fungicide on a flowering plant.
This is the product I used : Safer's Defender Garden Fungicide: 16 oz. Concentrate
Do you think it could be dangerous for my baby??s or for me if I smoke it as they are almost ready for harvest ?
Thanks in advance.9KtuFK Reviewed by 9KtuFK on . Uhhhh, I prooooobably wouldn't worry too much about it, but I would worry. I don't know if I should be putting sulfer into my bloodstream (by smoking it). Imagine striking a match, then while it's just starting to burn and burning the brightest, sucking in that smoke, but a whole bunch of it and not just one match.
I imagine that overall rhizome is correct, depending on what you mean by "almost ready for harvest". I suppose that over time that shit might dissapate somehow and be less harmeful or even not harmful. But if you are harvesting 3 days after spraying that, I migh be a little concerned and try to wash my bud with some cleansing thing. I know that this way I will loose more trichomes than is ideal, but at least it might help give me a false sense of security.
At the very least I would do a little web search on the effects of sulfer.
Oops. My first result in a search:
The damaging effects of sulfur with animals are mostly brain damage, through malfunctioning of the hypothalamus, and damage to the nervous system.
Wanna read more from that article?
Sulphur (S) - Chemical properties, Health and Environmental effects
I really hope this is going to end up OK for you, but if it were me I might dig just a but deeper before smoking, especially looking up how long sulpher can last in open air, sitting on a plant.

I will harvest in exactly 3 weeks from today. I hope that with rain and time, the sulfur should evaporate or drip away from the buds ?

I was also concered about the sulfur damaging the buds ???? What do you guys think ?
Should I wash it off or 3 weeks of rain and time itself should be enough ?

What do you mean with rain and time? You posted in indoor growing, so I assumed your plants would not get rain. But this is good because the rain should help wash any sulphur off. I would think that your buds would be fine in 3 weeks, especially if they get rained on from time to time. If it doesn't rain, I would definately gently wash the buds at least once. This will knock off a few of the trichomes, but most will be there for your smoking pleasure.

Sulphur fungicides are used, at some point, on just about every organic food crop out there. There sulphate based, which is a far cry from elemental sulphur in terms of nervous system interactions. Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it- if you've ever smoked BC commercial, they used a sulphur vape every two weeks thru flower. Or if you've ever drank any decent wine- the fungicide used ( and it's impossible to grow grapes commercially w/o a fungicide) was Borduex mix, which contains a whole bunch of sulfur.
Sure, rinse if you want to- but you've used one of the safest fungicides out there.I assume you understand that we have options on your time,

Defender is a good fungicide... like rhizome say, Donworryabboudit.
Sounds like you didn't do anything that'll really harm the plant or the smoke.
What kind of mold / fungus is it? white powdery?
