    If you veg longer you will get a larger plant. This may or may not translate into a bigger yield. (For example, if you grow a 6' plant under a 250w lamp, you are going to be pretty disappointed in the yield.)

    SOG works well because you are focusing almost all of your resources, lights, nutes etc., on buds rather than on a big plant, only part of which is bud.

    after reading this i should of added, indoors though, you basically estimate yeild off of lighting... without proper lighting, a bigger plant will just have more smaller buds, than heavier bigger buds
