i knew it was comming, but not outa nowhere like this

i have blazeing for about 1.5-2 years, im 18 now. i dont smoke cigerets, and only drink at parties. The last 7-8 months i smoked heavly, usually everyday or everyother day, adn i have come home stoned many times. I was pretty syre my mom suspected tht i did smoke, but she could never nail me on it. And i was kinda haveing the feeling tht she might be cool wid it.

Now to lower my tolerance i quit for a week , adn yesterday my collage was done at 12. so i told my mom tht ima go with a friend back to my old high skool so see a couple friends. (its my first year in collage). So at 12 me and my friend went bak to skool. and had 2 NICE fat blunts. at aarround 2-2:30 we spark up and theres about 4-5 hittin the blunts. So we blaze up adn im havein a NICE high. everythings going great and my frind with the car said hell drop ppl home now (he didnt blaze, cuz hes takeing a break). So arround 3-3:30 i get home adn i sit on teh sofa, im still high, but it was controlable. I had visein in my eyes and i sprayed colouge b4 i came in. So im sitiin, no1 is suspecting anythign. My brothers beside me. couldnt smell anythign. so im thinking im good. then my mom comes down. im liek can u makle me a bagel?. shes liek just wait 2 min, i have to talk to u. in a very harsh tone. im liek fuck. so she calls some1 on the fone. then when shes done. im liek yea? u wanted to talk? . shes liek wtf were u doing since 12. im liek i was out i told u . shes liek why didnt u call me . this adn tht, are u dealin drugs, because i herd u talkin bout a scale and shit. im liek WTF . no im not (i dont even kno how she herd tht, i usually dont even talk on the fone in the house). Then shes liek LOOK AT ME. im liek wtf, i look, shes liek are u on somethign?. im liek NO why are u so suspious, shes starts crying, shes liek omg i alwayz suspected stuff but i trusted you adn let u go out, now this is wat u do. im liek FUK, im still deineing it tho, im liek no i didnt do anythign. shes liekDONT LIE. stay on the couch till ur dads home adn dont move. hell be home in 10 min. Then shes liek let me see ur wallet. I give it to her. shes liek let me see ur pockets. I had a lighter, blunt roll, and pipe so i knew i was screwed. I didnt show her tho. i told her very calmly. im liek mom, look im doing good in skool im not skipping, and dont embares me and urself by searchin my pokets, if u want me to stop, ill stop w.e im doing . shes liek WTF are u doing. my dad comes home tht second. adn to my surprise, she stops talkin. so i go up. hide everythign. and im liek fuck now shes gonna tell my dad. but she didnt. and on top of tht to my surprise. she made me food, adn told my brother to go and give it to me upstairs. Now at this time, iw as still ripped, im liek wtf is going on, it was liek too much info too fast. So im sittin and den arroudn 6:30 i go down to the kitchen, my dads watching t.v in the nex room. so she comes up and shes liek so are u normal now? im liek yea. shes liek wtf did u do. im liek i drank. shes liek dont fucking lie. i kno u smoked, im liek noo. i didnt confess to tht because TRUST me, if i do, im dead. my parents think DRUGS are drugs. there no diff in between cocain, adn marajwana to them. So shes liek u want me to kick u outa the house now, cuz thts wat i feel liek doing. I didnt say anything. then she just left to watch t.v. so i go up. my dad comes. and hes liek ummm wats tht smell?.. im thinking could this day get any fuckin worse. hes liek do ur firends smoke? im liek yea. hes liek stay away, second hand smoke is worse. adn he gave me a short lecture. and goes down. now im listening to wat hes saying to my mom. adn hes liek i can smell marajwana in his clothes. and Again to my surprise , my mom covers up . shes liek ohh no its prolly because he was in his friends car adn ciggeret smoke came on him. So w.e tht day ended. i knew she was gonna question me the next. So today i was commin from collage adn shes liek i want ur fone. i dont want to see u with ur friends again, and i cant take ur behaviour. I tried convincing her tht im doing good in skool so let me do w.e i want on my leasiur. Shes unconvinced. She doesnt want me to be home alone (witch was the best because everysunday they go out till late and i get to smoke at home) now she said shes gonna take me everywhere and shit

to be honest i alwayz expected that when i get caught ima be in BIG shit. basicly all i got was lectures. And i feel really thankfull to my mom for comvering me like tht bnecause i never thought she would. we alwayus used to get into fights b4, but after yesterday i have much respect for her. but i kno shes really disapointed. Now i dont kno wat i should do. should i quit? should i continue hideing adn make sure i dont come home high again. or wat?

wow your mom makes you food when you ask.. lol

she loves you she stuck up for you to your dad. you can quit for her or tell her the truth whatever you do, don't continue lying to her. she doesn't deserve that.

if you tell her the truth, i'm sure she'll be more understanding that you think. she was probably just reacting badly to finding out that her 'baby boy' has grown up and making his own decisions like smoking, which she had never imagined you doing.

Please please please don't take this as a personal attack or anything, but honestly, are you doing well in school? I did read everything you wrote and it sucks that your parents are giving you a hard time, but what you wrote was a complete mess. It was barely readable.

LOl im doing good, i passed high school with a 84 average, and i had calculas, and all the other gay cources university level. The reason i went to collage was because my mechanical engineering program was more sutied for me this way. Im doing 2 years in collage, and 2 in uni, this way i get both the diploma and degree within 4 years.

When your mum is still making you food on demand at 18 years of age, I think it's safe to say she may well be somewhat protective. My mum loves me dearly, but if I said to her mum make me a sandwich please, I'm sure she'd say you have legs don't you? You need to show you're independent and can succeed in life even when smoking cannabis. However, if your parents demand you stop, unless you plan on moving out of home I suggest you do what they say. It is their home and their rules after all. I like how you approached your mum about not emptying your pockets though. I think you're right it would have just embarrassed you both and made things worse, so good on you.

That makes sense. Thank you for not taking it personally, I definitely wasn't trying to. Sounds like you are doing quite well and I commend you for that. As a scientist myself (I consider an engineer a scientist too) I understand that science is not easy. Sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders, keep up the great work. Just hope your parents cool it a bit =(

How you can compare cocaine to marijuana, I will never know but that's how most parents work, unless you have some totally cool futurefied parents. lol nah, it's different for everyone man. Some parents will be cool about weed, some may flip it. As long as you know, your doing the right thing, it should be alright. Keep it sweet with everyone and just act normal. If your high, it shouldn't matter. As long as your doing good things, your mum will be proud of you, regardless of wether you smoke or not.

I don't know what you can do for now, but just go with the flow.

true and with the same sentiments I mean are you sure you go to "collage" ? I smoke every single day..multiple times a day while attending one of the best universities in the US and studying under one of the hardest medical programs offered. I am responsible about my work and don't let weed affect my life negatively. Show your mom that you can handle the privilege of weed in your life by stepping up to the plate in other aspects of your life if you haven't already
