NEED HELP WITH HARVEST!

Ok now i have a problem, on my plants the top buds hairs are turning and i can tell their ready and they are good size but the lowing bud are little younger and smaller so i want to harvest the top bud then grow the others little longer. I know you can do this but i need to know how, My buds ready are on top like colas in shit so do i cut the stem at the end of bud and the plant will still grow fine or will it die or somthing. I just need to know if cutting the top of the plants off where the buds are will kill or fuck up the rest and if so then how do i do it right. And sorry if this is worded fucked up its cus i'm pretty fried!

It's like reveging. You cut off as much bud as you think you can get away with and still end up with a plant surviving and eventually thriving. Make sure you leave some good growth that is nice and healthy, and sacrifice a few of the nicer buds on near the bottom of the plant to be safe. You need a few good leaves to suck that light and make things grow. I end up removing roughly 75% of the plant (mostly AK-47). Any cutting on a plant is shocking it, and how harty strains are is widely varied. Something to keep in mind. Maybe check some seed sellers to find out how harty your variety is.

And hairs turning is not really a good way of determining when to harvest. Get a pocket microscope for $8 and look at the trichomes, then search the word trichome.

yea i know about trichome but i lost my microscope when i moved. So i searchred online and read a couple artilces sayin that its also ready when the hairs turn and i know if you harvest too late you lose THC. So i got little worried

I guess ill just wait cus the bud really ready are the colas but i think if i cut them off it might fuck the plant up so ill just wait like couple more day to harvest..I plan on goin and buying a microscope today at radio shack so i can really tell.
