early light cycles

i was wondering when i should switch over to 18/6, since i would likke to pop it out as early as i can. (I am a tenant in college in a rented house).

You can flip them to 12/12 (as plantboxer said) at just about any point. Most recommend waiting till the nodes are alternating, which they should be at nine inches. This will however cost you dearly in the yield department. Let it go as long as you can for the size of your grow area. It will likely double in height during flower.
