Make no mistake. Mama doesn't grow or smoke the stuff right now. Sometime if and when it's legal--and if and when it doesn't present a danger to her heart electricity--maybe she will. Till then, I'm an advocate for common sense and cautious medical use. Recreational use, too, for adults who are discreet and judicious.

It's about mine and Birdgirl's son, CC. She was talking about him in another thread to Slip and Snookums, who are her adopted son and daughter here. He is a lurker but not yet a member. We may get him to join up one of these days, but I doubt he's likely to do much conversing here where his mom's likely to read his thoughts. She stays off his area of facebook and myspace and he mostly steers clear of her areas of cyberspace. Not because of any problems between them. Just because he's doing his job of separating and maintaining respectful distance, just like we're trying to let him. I know she'd love to see him on here as often as Slip is. He's a college senior. They touch base throughout the week in other ways. Good young man, if I do say so myself. (He's had a good mama.)

Heart electricity, Savage Possum, refers to a cardiac arrhythmia Bird has. When she smoked last year with her sister who was the chemo patient, it played havoc with her heart rhythm and her asthma. She was about to start school anyway and wasn't intending to keep it up. She liked it, though. She's funny anyway, but she's a riot when she's toasted.
