No, dont 'top it' DURING flower! Usually the 'top' makes the fattest bud on the whole plant. If you 'top' it 2-3 weeks BEFORE flowering it'll get all branchy.

You can sometimes harvest more by 'topping' than you would normally but in some strains it just spreads out the buds instead of one big one on top and you get about the same or less bud from the branches.
ezygzy Reviewed by ezygzy on . a question about bud growth so yesterday im over at a friends house smoking a j when one of his friends came by but anyway we started talking about growing and he said that when the buds first start growing to pop off the tops of the bud and it will make the buds bigger. i never heard anything about this so if any one could tell me about this or if its even true i would appreciate it.
