    Flavored Buds

This is my first grow and I was wondering.......during the curing process (which I will be doing in mason jars), can I add flavored oil to a cotton ball and keep it in the jars for the buds to absorb the flavor? Will this harm the buds?

After you take down your first homegrown harvest, you'll never want to flavor your buds again! The flavor will be good already.
Some people like to toss in some lemon peel but I personally prefer the clean, pure flavor of a well cured bud.

I may just try it with a small amount. How long do you suggest curing for maximum taste?

It depends on strain but start with 2 weeks and go from there.

In Amsterdam the coffee shops requirement to the growers is 30-60 days of cure. If the buds have not been cured properly, (by dutch standards) most hash shops wont take it. Curing can make a world of difference in the finished product. Hell some times i get a bad bag from some one and i finish the drying and curing process my self. Turns crappy burning, bad chlorophyll tasting buds into sweet, almost good buds! hahaha. But seriously though, you will like the buds just the way they are if you dry them slow, and cure them well. I suggest you split your harvest in 4 parts when dried. That way you can start smoking on one jar, while the other three stay sealed and continue curing. Then when your done with the first jar, move on to the next. You will see the difference in taste and smell with every jar you open as they cure longer and longer. Hope we helped, laterz..

Yeah thanks alot! I am going to cure them for as long as my will can hold. We'll see how long that is. But thats a good idea from one jar to another. I will post some pics for ya to check out.

I have been curing some Afghan buds for five months now. It just a wonderful taste and so powerful. I have it in an old jelly jar. I open it up every now and then to air out for an hour or so. We put some in the volcano the other night, the walls were pulsating and changing colors it was that good. It had several weeks of air drying in the dark before it was trimmed and put into the jar. I aired it daily for an hour or so for the first month. Now every now and then when I think about it I take the lid off and air it out. It is almost gone now, bummer. Best stuff I ever had. It beats the hell out of the White Widow I have, although the WW has not been cured yet. Dr. Bloor
