there are items called trap focus triggers- wildlife photographers use them to photograph animals on trails- sophisticated equipment- better SLR's have this built into flash units - call your local camera store -preferably a pro shop and tell them what you need - tell them you want to photograph animals on a trail so you can shoot the bastards
