Although I don't know you, I wish you the best of luck! Getting paid for your hard work is a rewarding experience (at least in my opinion).

Good luck with the interview Slip, don't stress it and im sure you'll nail it. Remember give a firm handshake, be sure to smile, and always thank the interviewer for his time. (I've heard of places that determine wether or not to hire by a persons handshake and wether or not they smile, even if this place doesnt it's never a bad practice) What kinda place is Kroger's anyway?

Fingers and toes crossed here, too, sweetie. I'm proud of you. Kroger's a good place to work. A friend's sons have worked there, and you can do worse things than work your way up in the grocery business, too, especially as a foodie.

I know you already know this on some level, but as a mom I can't stop myself. Your resentment about the fact that you often worked harder than anyone else at the fast food jobs is understandable. Just know that there are always going to be people like you who work harder, better, faster and without proper credit at all jobs. Work is unfair like that, just like life is. It's unfair in fast food restaurants. It's unfair in doctors' offices and hospitals. It's unfair in the Fortune 100 and at Buckingham Palace, the White House and, no doubt, Kroger, too. That's just reality. You can let that fact deter you from working, or you can just keep focused on doing your best work possible for the good of your own family, no matter how lazy the next guy is.

Hope you knock 'em dead in the interview! Let us know, OK?
