    Indoor winter vegetative cycle

I am a small personal-plot outdoor grower, and I was wondering, since cannabis is an annual plant, would it sustain a prolonged state of vegetative growth during the winter if kept nourished? My last crop of outdoor plants didn't really grow as much as I had liked them to, and I figured if the plant would tolerate it, I'd grow vegetative during the winter so I could have stronger plants during the spring and summer.

    Any suggestions?

Yes! Do it!! Keep a couple mothers indoors and take clones- Veg them for a month before setting them out in spring.

    Indoors or out?
Bring them inside and get them under 'summer' light hours right away or you will be disappointed. They need at LEAST 18 hours a day of light at this stage in their little lives.

Indoors, they're on a 15 hour light schedule right now, I'm going to keep it at this rate to see how it goes... If I feel I need to increase it, I will.

It's just like having a little house plant

Okeydoke, generally 18 hours light/6 hours darkness is considered standard for young plants indoors.

Mmkay, I'll definately take that into consideration (my electricity bill was sky high last month because they increased the rates 40%... Jerks.)

    An increase of 40%! O_O
Jeez, you should look into another supplier. No pipes or any work needs to be done, it simply changes what company provides your electric, I think... or that could be gas. Eh.

BGE (Baltimore Gas & Electric) is the only one around here, really... They've kind of monopolized the electricity/gas market in Maryland, unfortunately.
