Thanks fly4hire, on the kind words for the BrazenOne (my vanity plate says Brazen1, because the color is Brazen Orange Metallic). You know, I did not like the looks of 'em when they came out in '04, especially without the hood scoops, but by '06 I had the new car fever. Glad I bought it. It's the best car I've ever owned, and I've had plenty (or like my wife sez, "way too many.")

Man, how did you score just one jay? I need some pointers badly. I am afraid as hell to just walk up to anyone and ask if they smoke, or have any connects. Even if they LOOK like they get high, you know?

We went to see Peter Frampton tonight, and I KNOW I saw tons of heads out there, but I am afraid to approach a stranger. That'd be just what I need, to get busted and lose my job and shit.

And now, my wife is giving me shit about not wanting me to start growing outdoors next spring - she's afraid I'll get busted and lose the house and everything we've worked for -because I don't know anywhere else to grow it except on my own land - and I can't grow indoors, because I don't have the room, and the kids come over all the time, and the grandkids are all over the place, etc. etc. and so on and so forth.... blah blah blah, LOL...

Man, I need some advice. I live in a little bitty county, where everyone knows everyone else. I'd rather go out of town and score, you know, but then, I'd probably be paranoid I'd get popped on the way home.

Shit I am a basket case. I want to get stoned so bad, I'd trade both nuts....

HELP! ANYONE! Someone give me some advice. Not looking for hookups (well, I am, but not aksing from them here) I just need advice on how, where/and what to look for.

Oh well, maybe I better go read the Power Of Positive Thinking or something, and STOP looking at these High Times I just bought. Makes me salivate all over the damned pages, LOL....

Stoner... man, I was really freakin out about how to approach people! Stinkyattic suggested hanging out at places/with folks that are smoker frequented, river rafting, sky diving, etc. Good suggestion but I am extremetly time limited with full-time grad school so plan B.

I spent a lot of time reviewing all the people I've come into contact with on a regular basis and have established a pretty good relationship with (all be it from a customer/provider relationship). I evaluated how "cool" they are, and whether I could afford to approach them (damage control- could I afford them knowing that I am a smoker). On my short list popped up a one of my class mates, the guy at a smoke shop I buy cigars from, a girl at the dry cleaners, and the dude that works at the gas station I go to all the time. I then had to kind of decide how to approach and figured I'd just come out and ask "hey, this might seem kind of strange but... I'm looking for smoking alternatives, you know anyone who's got the green?" Scored on the second try and am not so sure the first guy may not come through... he was just so shocked, he was not against smoking but I think couldn't process the button down-type dude in front of him asking about smoke. The second guy stated that he didn't know if he shoud be discussing that with me... he obviously knew what I was talking about so I just told him about my situation and he said he'd see what he could do. Yesterday, he appologized for not coming through on a 1/4 oz that he told me he would hook me up with, so he passed me a joint and told me to enjoy until he came through!

So anyway, I couldn't wait took a couple hits and got high last night... what a great experience. I'll write about that in a different thread because it was such a wonderful experience... much better this time than I ever remember it being in the past. What an experience, damn!

BTW Stoner... check out the rubbermaid grow container on the growers thread... that looks like the way to go if you have limited room and/or need security! I don't know nuthin' about growing but as I was trying to figure out if I could do it... that looked like a good option.

    Welcome back, flyr!

I'm lucky, I live in California and am "legal". However, I live in a redneck town and work at a school! Pure disaster if they ever found out that their "super aide" was a major pothead! I've got legit medical issues that pot helps and I refuse to live in pain, especially when the treatment is SO pleasant! :stoned:

Well, Granny's got a "well-lit" closet with a doubled-over dark shower curtain in the doorway to block the light leaks either way. I grow in some 19 gallon rubbermaid-type tubs ($4- Walmart). CFLs and tube fluoros provide about 600 watts of light- sufficient for my needs. I went through the house and switched all the light bulbs to CFLs, so my electric bill didn't spike. I also run a small 24/7 cabinet about 60 (actual) watts of CFLs for seedlings and clones. I have 3 to 6 small plants in flower at all times and it keeps me medicated.

And you older dudes, those pesky medical issues will be showing up as we all get older. You might want to take a peek at treatingyourself.com - a nice Canadian medical site! Great contests and even greater folks! They tend to be a bit on the more mature side and the posts are "down to Earth". TY feels "family". In one way or another, everyone there "has been through the wringer" and it brings a level of honesty that is seldom matched. - Granny:hippy:

Thanks for the advice guys, and I think I have just found myself a legit person who may be able to find me a supplier! One of my old smoking budies from high school, and the funny part is I just happened to run into him, at, of all places, the hospital. My best friend is in ICU with internal bleeding that they STILL cannot find after two days, and are gonna do a colonostomy tomorrow, but that's another story. my old smoking buddy was in the waiting area - his daughter had cut her finger and was getting stitches with mommy in the ER room with her, and me and my old bud chatted for awhile. I am keeping my fingers crossed, though, as he said he'd look around and see what he could do. we'll have to wait and see!

I guess it kinda freaked my old bud out asking about weed. My hair is super short (for summer cooling, LOL) and of course, at 50, it's also gray. And I dress rather conservatively, albeit in a nice t-shirt and jeans, so I know what you mean flyr4hire about the button-downs, LOL.

I actually have figured out what it is that is happening to me - i am trying to relive my youth, he, he, he.... Nah, just kidding. I just remember how nice it was to be stoned.

I am SO glad for you flyr4hire. Good luck with your continued quest!

And thanks, Stormy, as well. You, Stinky, birdgirl, and several others have really impressed me with your advice. Thanks to you guys mentioned, and anyone I didn't!

    This place REALLY rocks!

    Congratulations, flyr...

Your cannabinoid receptors were feeling deprived.

OldStoner, talk to someone. Anyone. What are they gonna do?

Well I would also be worried about bringing it up in front of random people. Someone could be an off duty cop, an undercover, or could be a busybody who would run to the cops at the first sign of trouble. Probably nothing to worry about but u can't be too careful when it comes to protecting yourself.

I would, beachguy, but I live in that famous place in Egypt, you know, B.F. And these people are, uh, how to describe them? There's not a word for it. Anyways, you get busted by word of mouth down here, LOL...

I'll find someone eventually, I just have to keep looking.
