Don't put TOO many holes- but really, have you ever seen those machines that are used to aerate lawns and golf courses? They rip the SHIT out of the turf but it survives. I poke chopsticks into my houseplants all the time to prevent soil compaction. You roots shoudl be fine... after all, they go down much deeper than yyou are going to be punching holes- all you are doing is allowing water to percolate into the dirt THERE instead of running off and being absorbed by some useless nearby non-pot plant, lol.
stinkyattic Reviewed by stinkyattic on . RE-PLANTING I have a plant that has some issues. The buds seem to have stopped growing. I've been watching them everyday my other plants are thriving. The soil looks very hard and when I water it sits on top for a while before it finally dissolves. Is the water getting to the roots? The leaves on the buds are alive and well because they are still very green. The fan leaves are yellowing and not reaching for the sun like the other ones, they are all folded downward towards the buds if you know what I mean. Rating: 5
