can u use celotex insulation ???

There are a lot of celotex types.
And how old it is. All matters.
If it has shiny side (aluminum or mylar coated)its used for exterior sheathing but it all depends. If it smells bad or chemically I wouldn't but these days they make gypsum based now too so that should be ok.
Their old sheathing used to have some chemicals in them which I dont think you would want.

You could also encapsulate the other side of the board with say some cheap paint. Thats all depending if it smells like chemicals. Just another idea I had. Because it almost always comes down to money, and if thats all you have ...

i'm no expert on growing, but do know that celotex is a great insulation (sit on it for a minute and you will feel the heat)it's most commonly used in the cavity of buildings, floors and for warm roofs so i was wondering if it may cause problems with heat?, i have a small greenhouse for growing and use celotex on the back as it's next to a fence to reflect the sunlight to the back of the plant, and my plants always grow evenly back and front,so it seems to work ok for me, sorry i can't help you any more than that, and the best of luck on your grow:thumbsup:
