I'm growing Nirvana's NL right now and its a very nice strain to grow. They're all very uniform and growing at a steady rate. Stealth is a key concern of mine and its why I'm growing 8 NL, 3 White Rhino, and 3 Hindu Kush plants. After I weed out the males I'll only have one or 2 of the stinky types and more of the super stealthy Northern Lights. On a few plants I can rub the main stem and it barely even smells then!

I'm very satisfied with my NL and I bet you would be too, being your first time and all. I don't know about MH on the start though that might crisp them up a friend of mine burnt his entire first grow that way. Best off to get even a weak compact flourescent ($3-$8.00) to start with. Then put them under the metal halide or whatever your going to use a week later.
