Pink Floyd....Almost
On Saturday, September 15th David Gilmour, the lead singer and guitarist for Pink Floyd is going to be broadcast at select theaters performing in concert. I have a DVD of him in concert performing solo, along with a backing band, and it is as close to a Floyd show as you can get. Fantastic quality. I have seen the Floyd four times in person, and I've seen Roger Waters in person once. David's DVD is as close to a Floyd concert as I've seen.
I know that the Cinemark on the Tollway is showing the performance at 2pm on the 15th and I plan to attend with a buddy or two.

David Gilmour - the voice and guitar of Pink Floyd - premieres an 85-minute theatrical version of his new live concert DVD "Remember That Night - Live At The Royal Albert Hall" exclusively to select theatres on Saturday, September 15th. Featuring songs from David's "On An Island" CD and an array of Pink Floyd fan favorites including "Echoes", performed in its entirety for the first time in 20 years.
This exclusive, one-time only event will also include a one song live performance by David Gilmour prior to the concert, and end with a special question and answer session - both live via satellite from London.
David Gilmour is joined on stage by RICHARD WRIGHT, PHIL MANZANERA, GUY PRATT, DICK PARRY, JON CARIN, STEVE DISTANISLAO, and special guests: DAVID CROSBY, GRAHAM NASH and DAVID BOWIE.
At select movie theatres nationwide for One Day Only â?? September 15th at 3:00 p.m. EDT / 12:00 p.m. PDT. Ticket price: $12.50.
Auditorium doors open 30 minutes prior to the start of the event.
