Can I ask a mod to bring this to the attention of Sundance?

since he's the big guns.. i know why legal bud threads aren't permitted... but in the past week i've seen several people like myself, who want first hand accounts of what it does do... i don't want to invite bashing, i don't want to put them down....

but i'm surely not gonna buy them (probably along with many more people) until we actually know what effects they DO have... i mean they are afterall, your advertisers, don't they deserve atleast their momment of shine, after all the negative that has been said about them (most of which is from people who've never even tried the stuff...)

i know the generic answer... infact here it is:

but that does not answer our (me and several others who are genuinely intrested) questions... of course we realize it's not going to be the same, if we thought it was the same we wouldn't bother asking WHAT effects it has (i'm NOT speaking for those who ask IF they work, but i've seen an influx of those asking HOW it works)


if open discussion isn't allowed of HOW They work, would you permit me (or others) to buy them and explain the effects they have, and then follow that with a closing of the thread so those questions can once and for all be answered?

and i also probably realize you're tired of the subject, but this is a genuine question, and not just a 'how come we can't talk about it' thread... i never trust on-site reviews that sell something, as it's far too easy to just make a review.... so any reviews on their sites just go out the window with me... (and many many others)

i know this thread will probably bring about a lock/deletion, and that doesn't bother me, all i'm asking is that the subject is brought up...

Sundance'll see this and chime in if he sees fit. As one of the resident "under-guns" and a remotely qualified spokesperson, however, I'll address this, too.

It's not that legal bud threads aren't allowed, Slip. It's legal-bud-bashing threads. And nearly everytime someone asks the question out of natural and understandable curiosity, some other joker--inevitably one who hasn't actually tried legal buds--steps in and does some bashing. So we end up taking the completely innocently intended threads down to pre-empt further bashing and to honor our advertisers. The disclaimer paragraph we standardly paste in or link to is below.

I just took down a reesurrected old thread that member (thanks, Happiest!) kindly brought to our attention. It not only contained bashing both old and new but also a recommendation from someone to try smoking a substance many of us use as a spice in puddings and pies. Not a spice, if anyone has done even the least little bit of reading, that produces remarkable psychotropic results and not a substance we're in the business of discussing on a site devoted to cannabis.

I recommend that everyone who's interested in the effects of plants, spices and herbs visit the Erowid site and avoid making non-cannabis substance recommendations--or legal-bud-bashing comments--here.

i know it's only supposed to be bashing threads that are against the rules, and i understand the reason for pre-emptive strikes... but it still leaves our questions unanswered... i can't ever find an actual report of what legal bud does do becuase it's either banned (as here) or 99% of the time it's someone who's never even dabbled with the stuff and making assumptions/claims..

i just want to seek actual answers to our questions.... what it DOES do... i'd be willing to buy and try the stuff myself and make a report on the actual effects, but i'm afraid it will just get deleted, thus, nullifying the only reason i'd actually buy it without of having heard how it does work to begin with.

would you mind citing a few then? i can't seem to find them.... (i'm also not talking about herbs made to be psychoactive substances....)

i mean the same substances off of Legal Bud - Herbal Smoke Shop - Legal Buds,Herbal Buds,Herbal Smoke not labeled as legal highs, marijuana alternatives, herbal ecstasy, or herbal highs by fda law
