You used your analogy the way politicians do...

Some people don't learn........we've been down this road before and do ya remember how it turned out? I've checked out your recent history and I see it's pretty much your option of either playing the martyr AGAIN or playing it cool........

My only issue was that I felt you were implying we shouldn't question mods, when we have every right to, and can do.

WE answer this type of B.S. to Sundance and ONLY Sundance. Makes it much easier that way.........if ya don't like that, there is always opition "B" available. Lucky for you I had a busy weekend....I would have LOVED to have been involved in this lil' discussion from the start.

Wow... I fail to see how this became such a touchy issue.
The other moderators are correct that we do not need to justify bans to the membership as a whole, for a number of reasons:

-The ban really IS between the member and the administration
-If we had to make a thread every time someone was banned or even infracted, it would be a full time job.

I responded to the OP simply because it was an easy one and I had a bit of time; I'm sorry it caused such a shitstorm. I even said right in my original response that I didn't feel that I NEEDED to justify myself.

You guys just really have to trust that we as moderators try to be fair and give members not only warnings, but also the benefit of the doubt when circumstances call for it, before they are banned.
