    harshness & smoothness??

i'm relatively new to this with only a couple of grows under my belt, soil mostly, but for my most recent grow i tried hydro, 2 months in and no problems so far. since i actually don't smoke, i got into growing mostly as a hobby that actually pays lol..
i have a couple of questions though, thanks

    1. i have read on this forum about the smoke being either harsh or smooth.
and was wondering if the strain of plant, the noots used or quantity of noots, or the method of curing, which contributes mostly to the harshness or smoothness. reason for wondering is mostly everyone that has tried my buds say that they are very smooth and are a creeper? and actually alot of people say that they don't like that.

    2. so if i wanted to make my buds more harsh what would the best way to go about this.

    3. i have a 400 watt mh & hps bulb, along with a 1000 hps bulb that i used for vegging, i was wondering how many plants i can have under either bulb or combination of both bulbs.

    4. also was wondering if anyone has heard of tiger strain of plants. i'm not sure if that's actually what strain i'm growing, but was told that's what it was since the seeds have definate stripes on them?? could be way off on that one though.

p.s. just did my first clones and everyone took off good, though i don't have room for them right now until things warm up outside to growing temp, so unfortunately i will have to dispose of them. lol what a great hobby lol

    1. It's genetics, you can't control whether the high is a creeper or not.

    2. To make your buds harsher, dry them faster (I don't understand why someone would want harsh smoke).

    3. It really depends on what type of reflector you have. If you took of the reflectors, the light would be able to expand further, thus allowing more plants to be grown. I can't really caculate exactly, depends on how large you plan to grow your plants also, I'd say using both, over fourty small plants, without the reflectors.

    4. The stripes are due to the fact that the seeds are fully ripe. The stripes do not determine the strain at all.

why would anyone want them harsher! omg, man if i was you id leave them over time youll find more people will want the smooth smoke, not flushing the roots and dryin fast will make it harsh! maybe you should just dry a small bit faster for those people that want it harsh and leave the rest. peace
