God can be whatever or whoever you want it to be. He doesn't necessarily have to be some geeza living in the clouds.

The way christians view a god is somthing or somone you put above all other things. If money is the most important thing in your life that is your god ,or a person. So if cannabis is the number one thing in your life above family, friend and yourself, then it is your god. Thats what I belive. I love the wounderful plant and I could not imagine my life without it now. But it is not God.

BINGO! You said it exactly. We really don't need anything to see or realize the ultimate reality (often called enlightenment)--just a shift in our point of view. Check out Nisargadatta. He did not even meditate yet one day he woke up every bit as much as the Buddha (he said he focused on his sense of self for about 3 years...). Cannabis, shrooms, etc are really tools that can help us see outside of our conditioned experience. Using them wisely, with awareness, is the way to go.
