Mike Gravel's stance
I was recently on a website that breaks down all the opinions of all the politicians. I was reading the Presidential Candidates and came across Mike Gravel, D-AK. I found his marijuana opinion quite interesting and wanted to know what you guys thought of it. First, he wants to legalize possession and use of marijuana. Says he thinks marijuana should be sold at liquor stores. He wants to decriminalize hard drugs so we can treat addicts. Thinks the drug wars are failing just like Prohibition did. He feels drugs are a public health issue, not a criminal issue. And the war on drugs are losing a whole generation to the prison system.

i agree to some extent however just becouse people use hard drugs does not mean they are drug addicts drug addicts use the drug constantly with no regard to health or anyone else a person who uses a hard drug once or twice should not be deemed a addict that could ruin there lives maybe evan more than jailtime but prob not however something must be done and anything is better than whats going on in this country right now im sure there are people on here and ive heard of people on here talking about other very hard substances and im pretty sure they dont want to be deemed a drug addict becouse there not

Ron===Mike Gravel is my choice for pres. but he doesn't have a chance. He tells it like it is, and no politicians want to hear that.

Ya the link for the site is www.ontheissues.com. Gravel is defiantly who i'm voting for but, as heart wrenching as it is, he doesn't have a chance. It's all Obama and Clinton part 2 for now. Which is depressing in so many ways.
