Yeah Ebel, why? I sifted through a few of your previous postings, and you don't seem overtly on the edge of breakdown, but definitely unsettled based on perhaps some less than desirable circumstances like a breakup or something? I don't mean to be presumptuous, and you shouldn't open up if you don't feel it would help. I had a good year-long period of depression from a breakup; man it was bitter. I didn't see why something as silly as ending a relationship could have affected me so much, but then I was 18 at the time.

no argument there. I'm more embarrassed and disgusted by the world each day. It bothers me when people insist on being "optimistic" simply to avoid confronting unpleasant facts. THere's an epidemic of oblivion, more deliberate in some cases than in others. IT just seems the only thing people care about is maintaining their petty, materialistic, small-minded lifestyles and the thought of collective change is so burdensome to them, they'd rather live out their numbered days in a comfortable state of ignorant cynicism, despite their views of post-mortality and welfare of future generations.

This is just a daily rant of mine, not really a rejoinder to your post.
