Thanks for what I believe to be an honest review PurpleDays. Although I haven't used a Vapezilla, Super or otherwise, I've read lots of user reviews, and nothing in your post rings anything but true. And I have used the comparable Vaporfection Stealth II.

You don't say how long you owned it before the control panel failed, but the vapes comparable to and competitive with the Vapezilla (Evolutions and Vaporfection) would have only cost a shipping charge to repair for 3 years. With the Vapezilla, labor would be free, but the part wouldn't. If the repair had required a new digital controller, the cost to the owner would be at least $200.

Your review points out the risks of buying an expensive piece of electronics, where the goal is to produce heat. Electronic components produce heat on their own and the heat must be dissipated or the more heat sensitive components could overheat and fail. This is why computer processors have fans and/or heat sinks and network servers are kept in cooled off rooms.

Electronic controllers are better suited to vapes that fill bags. Incoming air flow is constant, and there's nobody pulling varying amounts of air at various times on the output end. For whip use, a simple analog vape with a good ceramic heater is likely to last a lot longer than a digital model, and be just as effective too. Personally, I'm willing to sacrifice solid state temp control and a display for long term reliability.

And anyone that thinks you need to pay $500+ for a vaporizer in order to extract the maximum goodness from cannabis or other herbs, is mistaken. Vaporization is a simple process that only requires the correct temp range. Certainly it's easier if the process is assisted by an electronic controller, but I can get those same "mind bending results" from my SSV at half the price and with a lot more control of how much vapor comes out of the unit, and when. I've found myself more than once sitting in my chair, totally spaced out, with my SSV wand in one hand and the mouthpiece in the other, with zero desire (or ability for that matter) to finish off the bowl contents. I've also left more than one bag of vapor sitting atop the herbalAire, hoping it would still be good when I was able to tackle another bag. :vap_smiley:
