Transparent vs. solid colored pieces

I like my color changing pipes. I like watching the colors transform the more I smoke out of them, until one day, they become solid colors.

In reference to bongs, which I don't own, I prefer solid colors.

I just got a nice new bong, which is solid orange with blue swirls and such, it caught my eye and was cheap since the shop is going out of bussiness,(so sad to hear too) and I really like it, but it causes a problem with me not being able to see the inside. I like being able to see the smoke fill through it, see the water line so I know if I have to much, or not enough. It just has really started to bother me. So, does anyone Rating: 5

I like mine to have color at the base, transparent neck, and then more color by the mouthpiece.

Translucent for me.

I don't like the clearish pipes, they feel fragile to me even if they're not. My favorite piece thus far is one a picked up recently that's got some nice orange, blue, and green swirling in the glass but is still translucent enough that I can see how much smoke I'm getting.

Completely trasparant glass is my favourite, I like to be able to see my lovely smoke.

I've got a 2 foot translucent darkish red acrylic bong with a glass on glass slide which is a nice bong indeed, but it'd be 100 times better if it was completely clear.

This is one i made outta a glass salad cream bottle - i already had the metal bowl/stem from the red acrylic one [i changed it to glass on glass myself, much better hits]

It's more like a bubbler coz it's pretty small - not for big big hits, but it'll still have you blowing a big ol' cloud out.

LIP I also made myself a small bubbler-sized bong like that out of a straight-sided bud vase.
I like being able to see how much smoke it is holding, and I prefer smaller hits anyway.
For Pete's sake people keep your glass clean! lol! If a previously-clear piece is dirty enough to become nearly opaque, do you REALLY want to be smoking out of it? Mmmm yay for pond-scum bongwater... Blech!

personaly i like Solid colors.....especially for bongs.....i always end up getting a bigger hit then i expect taht way

doesn't really matter to me... i know how to get the perfect his outta all my bongs and know what it feels like, so i don't need to see it... and clear pipes/bongs tend to get nasty looking unless you clean them regularly, where as, semi-transparent spoons for example, gain character from the dirtiness...

I dont really care about the color of spoons and bubblers because usually i can feel when i have enough smoke..
But if its a bong i HATE it when i cant see how much smoke I'm getting
