I thought it might be useful to outline the reasons I advocate hash over cannabutter, and what to do if you haven't got any. Hope they make sense.

My advice is to avoid attempting to make cannabutter unless you're:

1. Confident and experienced in making it.
2. Have an ounce to spare which your prepared to lose (if it goes wrong).
3. Patient and prepared to wait 24 hours while it simmers and cools.

Instead, follow one of the guides to making hash for these reasons.

1. It doesn't take as long to make.
2. It lasts longer (won't go mouldy in the fridge).
3. Unlike butter, you can choose either to smoke it or cook with it once made.
4. You only need small quantities to cook with (it goes a lot further).
5. The results are much more reliable, stable, and stronger.

Smoke the bud, cook with hash! :twocents:
