Xbox 360 Failure
Why would they do that? It states clearly on their site that the 3 ringed flashing red lights means a general hardware failure that they are responsible for. They wouldn't gain anything, and would in fact lose money by sending those systems out. They're repairing them for free, which is costing them a lot of money. I think I read a figure of them putting back 1.6 billion which would repair about 2.5 million.
