uhh that's not the 3 red lights issue though, that's just a minor issue of reports that a specific drive brand scratches discs. The 3 red lights issue is simply a heatsink issue as I said. It's an easy fix for MS. Hell if you aren't under warranty then there is even tutorials on how to fix it yourself if you feel comfortable enough about working on electronic internals.

The TC got the ring of death, not scratched discs.

My cousin actually sent his off because of the problem and he was sent a replacement system instead of the one he sent in. You'll know this because it'll have a paper in it saying that this is a replacement system. But these replacement systems are actually systems that had the same problem but was refurbished so they definitely dont send out new systems but they send out replacement refurbished systems.

i would not accept something back refurbished/used i'd take it back to the store and get a new one i never send anything in even if i don't have a receipt i demand i get a new one as i bought it from that store not from the manufacture i could see if i bought it from the people that made it but i did'nt i bought it from lets say walmart them being the middle man and being thats why the price is more than from the manufacture should they not be some what responsible for the product there selling if not that would be saying hey it's ok for u to be a middle man and jack up the price of the product but when it breaks i'll just go to the trouble and send it back to where u "walmart" bought it from to sell to me and make the profit from me naw i will take a new one please!!!!

wow that sucks mr.bubbles, hope that works out for u...damn i just got my 360 about 3 weeks ago and if this happens to me im not gonna be a happy camper...that thing even though cheaper than the ps3 is just way to expensive to break down like that
