I relate to the lyrics more than I thought I did.

Hell yes!!! Disorder is also my favorite Joy Divison song too.... is it just me or does anybody else hear the Joy Division in The National?? I pick up a tribal drum beat similar to that of Joy Division... and The National's vocalist has almost a baratone quality similar to Ian Curtis'.

Favorite tracks on this album are Fake Empires, Mistaken for Strangers, Start A War, Slow Show... you know I just can't put them in any order. I love this band too much.

THE NATIONAL--POST HERE Welly well I'm so excited to have the opportunity to see THE NATIONAL live at the crystal ballroom in Portland on 1 October. It's about fucking time, the last time they came around here was a couple months ago and it was a 21 + show which I could not attend.
