Just finished an indoor grow over the last six months. As things worked out I got 8 bagseed plants to grow for 14 weeks at 18/24. After that I switched to 12/12 and the plants sexed within a week pulled the males and left them to dry and cure while the flowers bloomed for 12 weeks. They were then picked, dried and cured for what I now know was too short a period. We couldn't get much else to smoke so we smoked the females which took about
6 weeks till we finished it off. Then the 3 month cured males were all that was left. We smoked the males not expecting much but either they were superior genetics though they were bagseed or the curing made the difference. They were better than the buds from the females. I was always led to believe that males weren't that hot but I can disagree. That was lesson #1.
Lesson #2 was tougher to take I started some new skunk seeds and 7 out of 10 germinated and were growing their 2nd set of leaves ready for transplanting. I left the grow box mostly covered
so there was little ventilation. I checked them wednesday morning watered them and could not check them till late thursday. I was crazed when i checked them and all there was was shriveled nothings. $50 down the drain. Well ordered some more I'll try gain.
Some valuable lessons learned curing is worth all the waiting and check your babies daily for water and ventilation so they don't fry.

theres no point in smoking male plants, even if you smoke the whole plant. you'll get higher taking your next walking step then any amount of male plant that you could smoke. why waste your time? just do some more research and you'll grow a female to get you high. :rasta:

Wow, you had the holy grail of mj plants and you smoked it. Bummer! For almost 100 years, millions of mj growers around the world have been searching for that magical strain with a male plant that produced trichomes instantaneously upon being put under 12/12 light.

...and you didn't save the strain.

When you say you smoked the males, you're talking about leaves right? I've smoked leaves before. They do have an effect on you, but it's not one I particularly like.

Contrary to what you all think. I thought the same things that male plants are crap. I've been smoking for 35 years. I have had good, bad and otherwise. I had gold and red in the
70's(wish I grew some of those seeds.) So it's not like I started smoking yesterday. All I'm saying is that I was very surprised as to how stoned I got. I haven't done a grow in years. So my point was that curing is really worth the wait.

rofl are you sure there males lol you cant smoke males it will give you a stupid high and a headache i have grown many strains and i tried smoking the male plant of white widow but it didnt do much of anything at all but give me a headache and i grew them outside did you grow your indoors i dont think that would change much 35 years huh well ive been smoking 20 and i cant smoke that nasty mexi bud or mids they dont do anything i think your tolerance would be abit too high to evan get a buzz on schwag so how could you of got a buzz on a male plant:wtf:
