No way that's not ruined. I have seen VW's in worse shape turn out gorgeous. Trust me my husband has a 68 beetle. When I first seen it, it looked like some 30 year old scrap metal that melded together. He has done a awesome job at restoring it so far. Its looking great. He wants a bus so bad. He wants the one with the little windows in the top, flat front end with the VW sign, and pop out windshield. One of these days I'm going to find one for sale and get it for him.

I saw one drive down my street in almost perfect condition.. I was so jealous. It even had little tye dye coverings over some of the windows..

I would love to buy that bus, get it up and running and make sure everything is working. Then i'd trick out the inside and make it a total hippie party bus!! But I would leave the outside looking like absolute shit just cause that would be so tight. It wouldnt draw much attention or anything.
