Yes, I have. When I was playing around with using peat in my mix. And guess what? It died!

What we would really like to speak to, is YOU telling a first time INDOOR grower to use cowcrap in the mix they use.

Any packaged product that has been processed for sale should be free of pests and weed seeds. Would I go down to the local farm and get a pile of shit for my indoor garden? Of course not! I recommend a SPECIFIC brand and source that I have EXTENSIVE personal experience using INDOORS without introducing either weeds or insects.
I stand by my advice to use that composted manure and humus product from the farmer supply.

Oh no worries.
As a matter of fact, I didn't actually ban the guy... another mod did.
One thing I will say on the record is that me being a mod isn't something I'd ever want to use just to get the upper hand in an argument over grow styles/information- I'll sit here and argue with anyone, lol; as long as everyone is polite about it it's good, and everyone can learn from both sides.

Now back to your other question of the water in vs water out thing.
It's something you need to get a feel for.
Say your tap water is 7.
Your runoff from an initial flush is 6.5.
You can then assume that the true pH of your soil is actually a bit LOWER than 6.5, and you will want to bump it up a bit.

When you have such a large discrepancy between where you WANT your soil to be and where it actually is, it will likely take a few tries to get it stabilized at the proper level. So after the flush/adjustment, let the plant chill for a while, let the soil dry out a little, and next time it needs watering, check once more and adjust again if you need to.

Fixing the pH of bad soil is as much an art as it is a science, lol. That's why I like my humus! Buffer = 6.8-6.9.

Yes lets all stay polite and try to turn learn something! Well back to the topic I guess I may need to bump my ph in up a bit. Last runoff I collected and checked in clean containers was 5.7 with a ph of 6.8 going in. I will check some plants again tomorrow. Thanks.

Thanks. The plant has three like that on it. I was looking at them today with a microscope and they are getting real cloudy. I was thinking of taking these buds off and letting the rest of the buds go. The whole plant is covered in the same type of bud but, smaller. It is right on the greenhouse roof!

I do need to ad some ph up on some of my applications. I noticed a plant that looked a little peaked, yellowish leaves I gave her a T of fish emulsion. Ph7 on water and then with fish emulsion added it was 5.7. The plant is close to harvest.

The use of dolomite lime and some humic acids in your soil will help you keep a stable PH.
Just some thing to think about next time.
