I don't listen to a lot of rap, but Kanye West is all right in my book and as long as his new record out sells 50 cent I will be happy that 50 won't be making any more music.

He's an unbelievable producer...maybe not the best lyricist, but he's definitely better than a lot of the shit that's out these days. He has his own style which is hard to come by in this era...

My friend and I were discussing this the other day...honestly it's hard to like Kanye as a person, because he comes off as so cocky, flamboyant, and sometimes prejudice...but we still respect what he's done for hip-hop and music as a whole. I thought to myself...I don't like how he 'pokes fun' at the 'white way' of living, but honestly think of how many people 'poke fun' at the 'black way' of living...am I right? Yes, it's called being open-minded.

I've honestly only heard a few Kanye West productions that haven't been perfect or near-perfect...out of hundreds I've heard. In my mind, he is in a whole 'nother universe than 50 Cent [who gets beats from others and throws his shitty lyrics on them]...the man produces his own music and writes to it...pretty entrepreneurial if you ask me...the only other person who would come close is Dr. Dre, except he doesn't write a lot of his music.

Remember...he's a producer many times over before he's a rapper.

He's a hell of a producer at least give him that.............IDK he's ok I like him but only bc he samples old school Motown so I can't hate him......I know I don't like him bc as soon as I hear one of his beats I immediately think of another song and sing that in my head while his songs on lol. Kanye is an amazing proucer. But it stops there.


He really can't rap and his lyrics are garbage.

But I love his beats and I just think he should stick to making beats for Common and Jay-Z.
