Pretty much 100% wrong. Kanye is one of the best at sampling [which is a part of all music and a huge part of hip-hop] in the game today and of all time. He made a great song out of that sample...maybe not lyric-wise...but just listen to the music.

That's what it's all about...the MUSIC. Everybody knows Kanye's a dickhead, there's really no reason to make a thread about it. It's like watching a movie and saying you don't like it just because there's an actor in it you don't like.

The guy is a production genius whether you like him or not. Both of his last albums have been crazy and his new one, Graduation, just might be his best yet. Probably the album of the year...don't judge until you've heard it. Not many artists get better as they go...most are dug into a hole with their first album and can't climb out. It's the greats who climb out again and again. And, don't forget, Kanye was a producer way before he even rapped, making beats for the best in the industry. [Actually I see that a lot of people don't know shit about hip-hop].

Not saying Kanye is the best lyricist, but he shines a great light on what's going on in hip-hop now [shitty Southern music taking over]. His lyrics are made up of witty punchlines and silly metaphors, but at least they stray from what we are use to in hip-hop. At least that's how I see it.

And ONCE AGAIN...forget Kanye the asshole, and forget Kanye the not-so-great lyricist...It's about the production. Kanye West is a producer. He produces great songs, and to say he has no talent is bias, simply because you don't like him [Or you like another genre of music]. That's not fair. He's one of the most talented producers in the world...and of all time...and I'm not even his biggest fan, but at least I can respect a genius at work.
