Use your head... the cop has a job to do... thats what he gets PAID for doing. Thats how he keeps a roof over his family's head and feeds them. Cops have to do random piss tests too...just because. They are supposed to set the example for "John Q. Public".

Cops are doing what they are paid to do.
Before this turns into a cop-bashing thread (and if it does, it WILL be nuked), think about the responsibility of doing the job you get paid to do.
So if you don't like laws against people smoking, blame your fellow voters, not the people who have to enforce them.

Dear diary, If I was a cop tommorrow I would do lots of things different than what I see going on today..first, the uniforms, those things are hideous and hot..I would choose the uniform of the day as shorts, tank top and flip flops..2nd- Guns! who needs guns,,the only ones I need are the guns..if I wrap my arms around a criminals neck, it will be like a boa constrictor..he will tap out..3rd- I will turn my head to all cannibis users..they are now exempt from the law..do what you please..you are my friends...

If it were solely weed, I would confiscate it and let them go. If someone were dealing harder drugs, I would arrest him.

As for them just doing their job... there job isn't clean cut. I know a cop who rarely arrests people for DUI because he drives drunk sometimes himself. I also know of cops who usually won't be a dick for weed, because most of their friends smoke.

I have also gotten out of a DUI because one of my friends called a mutual friend of ours on the force and he in turn radioed the officers currently arresting me to please release me.

Yes they are just doing their jobs, but some don't enforce the law to it's full extend due to personal beliefs.

With that said, I would never be a cop. Risking my life daily for an unappreciative populace while constantly having to deal with the dumbest of society. No thank you.

Officers have a lot of discretion in performing there duties.If I were a cop I would ignore laws clearly unconstitional.Partaking of natural substances,not using a seatbelt,not wearing a helmet while riding a motorcycle.There are a lot of laws that clearly violate your constitional rights.I'd just ignore them and spend my time more wisely on going after violent offenders.

I would be the coolest cop. Like the ones in superbad jeje. I would encourage the kids to not drink alcohol and smoke weed. And to say no to coke and those other kinds of drugs. And would definately try to eliminate violence and the use of guns.

Definately not. I will not arrest someone for doing something that does not harm them personally, or someone indirectly.

And if I got fired? Good, I didn't ask to be a cop!
