When my clones have nice roots, like in the photo, I transplant them to 18 oz cups with drain holes cut into the sides at the bottom and lava rock (or whatever) in the bottom for good drainage. At this transplant they get B1 and Clonex mixed 1/2 recommended plus a drop of superthrive.

Then I let the cup get almost dry because I want the roots growing after the moisture. The second watering I give them 1/4 strength nutes (A/N three part), let them get almost dry again, then 1/2 nutes for two regular waterings (daily with coco) then full nutes.

The plants are under flouros for 2-5 days after potting then under the MH's - I have 400's @ about 24" above the plants. But I don't move the lights at first; I let the plants grow closer. At about ten days from the first planting, the roots are circling the outside of the coco and the plants are ready for a #1 pot.

That's my system and I have pretty good success with it. You lose a plant occasionally because you aren't really babying them, but better to lose it now than 40 days into flower. Flowering space is just too precious a commodity to waste on weak plants, IMHO.

I leave the lights on 18/6. (Might as well answer your question, as long as I'm writing all this stuff.

Good luck with your grow.
