Yikesssssssss!!! One timer was not set correctly... one of three lamps stayed on!
Fucking shiat. One of my three 1000 watt lamps stayed on two additional hours today. I am three weeks into veg right now, was going to induce flowering in about four-five days. Am I going to have a problem on my hands? I know probably a bunch of threads have been posted like this, but I'd like to hear people's experiences from the past.
Yesterday we had a power problem and the lights stayed off two additional hours, and then today one of the three lamps stayed *on* two extra hours. What can be done to remedy this situation if anything? I figured best thing was turn off the lights and resume regular lighting cycle. Am I going to hermie? I figure it's probably more important during flowering, but I am now pretty damn worried.razzapiggy Reviewed by razzapiggy on . Yikesssssssss!!! I am only just a beginner grower but if you gave your plant 2 hours of extra light then it shouldn't hurt it that much... Isn't it possible to give your vegging plants 24 hours of light? Hermaphing only occurs when the plant hasn't vegged enough and is set on a strict 12/12 schedule right?

You can def. give your plants 24 hours of veg light, however it's a little over-kill. Hermie-ing can occur for various different reasons, one being an irregular light cycle... hopefully I don't have a problem considering it only got messed up in the last 24 hours.
Adding to my original post, I am curious if the light cycle should be altered from here (putting lights on early I would imagine is not a good idea) Should I just proceed as normal and be sure to not fuck up again? I am PRAYING I don't hermie because my last cycle was not nearly as good as it should have been and I am in the danger zone currently.

Id rest them to their reg times and run w/ it . Much more critical had you been in flower im guessing . Then I'd go buy a greenair lt4 so all 3 lights are on the same timer / controller .

Didn't know of such a thing. Do you know how much those cost? That would definitely lower the chances of this happening again. It's so easy to bump a timer and set it to "on" instead of auto. So damn annoying.
But I think I should be okay, if I was in flower... might be a different story - in any case, not anything I want to happen again thats for sure.

Don't worry about it. If that's all that happened your fine probably won't affect them at all.

If you want to go really cheap just set all ur lights on a power strip like a do and set the whole strip on one timer... idk just an idea for you. But i dont think that one little light episode should make it hermie regardless. Its still in veg so it should be fine
