I'm all for giving citizens the choice between a free and paid medical system, but mandating treatment is indeed dangerous, particularily in the mental health aspect of his plan. I can just see the day when blood tests become mandatory and anyone with THC metabolites in their system are instantly labled as having a drug problem. Already any kids that are defiant now have "oppositional defiant disorder", anyone that's lazy has "anti-motivational syndrome", and any kids that are bored in school have "Attention Deficit Disorder" (ADD I do believe exists, but it realistically applies to maybe 5% of the kids diagnosed with it).

In an age where every act of non-conformity to standards dictated by the government is now a mental illness, it's nobody's place to force us to let big-brother look at every nook and cranny of our physical and mental being outside of the individual's consent.

And to think, I thought Edwards was a relatively reasonable guy before this. No matter, Hillary or Obama will probably win. Personally I'm really hoping it's Obama, but Hillary probably will come out the victor.
