Labor Day Weekend- What did all y'all do?

We Americans had a holiday this past weekend- anyone do something fun?

I was thinking the weekend was going to suck major booty- Sunday afternoon I was moping around the house, I'd done all the housework I could handle, walked the dog twice, spent the previous day running errands, and was going, oh shit, what a waste of a 3 day weekend.

So I called my fishing buddy/ sorta boyfriend to see if he wanted to go fishing. I'm thinking just head down to the river, smoke some smokes, have a couple beers, chill, be home by dark, have dinner, nothing too exciting. He's like, HELLS yeah, I'll be over in an hour or so.

So all my fishing gear is in the back of my car, which is conveniently parked across town at a friend's house who I'd lent it to. Donk shows up and I'm like, I need to go get my shit. He's like, well what, you've only got an ultralight rig, right? Yup. He said, hey, I've got plenty of equipment in the back of my car, let's just get moving!

I looked in the back seat and all that was there was surf rods... WTF, I said, it's all ocean gear, there's nothing that big in the Deerfield river! And he gives me that Donk look (the same one I had last seen about 5 minutes before clambaking that damn canoe, lol) and grins and goes, NOPE!

Anyway I ran inside and grabbed a sweatshirt and my new Trumystic cd and off we went to Rhode Island. We hit 4 spots that evening, and fished the last spot until 3 in the morning- the bluefish were running and the moon was really bright. It was a perfect night, breezy but not too cold, with perfect stars in a clear sky.

We slept on the beach until it got too cold, then in the car for another couple hours, got up before all the good spots on the breakwater were taken, and fished there until we were too hungry to see straight. People were bringing up these gorgeous fat 20" bluefish and even some stripers. After lunch (fried clam bellies and Harpoon IPA, the perfect meal) we hit up another couple spots and drove around for a while before giving up and coming home in time to shower and crash the FUCK out at 8.

We actually didn't catch a damn thing but whatever, it was a GREAT trip. For not having made any holiday plans, I could not have even asked for a more perfect long weekend.

went camping with my wife and dauschunds at palmetto state park
and it was relaxing.
most of texas rivers are flowin high

spent the weekend camping with my kids
swam in the lake and found a nice waterhole
with a jump spot about 25 feet up.
we made a big fire and ate smores
then watched scary movies under the stars
smoked up all my weed while i was drunk the first night
and the next day had to go on a bud hunt
th elocal kids who lived their hooked me up
thank god cuz when thers no weed everything sucks haha
bbq'd some ribs and corn on the cob and ate cold watermelon
on the beach when we got home from camping
i love being under the hot sun

Well, I didn't do no camping
and I didnt do no hiking
no bbq's
no ribs

I worked on Saturday
had great sex and smoked good herb saturday night
Sunday- Went to church--haha yeah right
had more sex and smoked good herb

Shit, I cant think of what else I did..I think I just had some good ass sex and smoked some more herb.

oh yeah, and lifted weights..cause I have to keep up my buffness

Went camping with aunt and uncle and cousin and had to go without smoking for like 3 days, it was not to bad cause my tolerence went down a little

i worked. although, saturday night was real fun. one of my dad's friends who i've done a lot of work for, his daughter had a birthday party there. she was turning 48, so an old crowd there, about 7-8 people i'd say.

anyways. A LOT of crabs. chips and crackers. burgers and dogs. and lots of beer. fun night.

went campin with a bunch of friends. did a little fishing, went on this incredibly long hike to these big cliff jumps into the river, drank some beer, smoked some herb, then came home and watched tiger and phil play. all together it was pretty good.

Went backpacking and rock climbing for 5 days in the San Bernardino national forest.
Then last night I got hammered and had a one on one with mr. toilet for a few hours.

Went dove hunting Saturday and Monday. Sunday watched Superbad and Halloween. Not a bad weekend.
