Water when the soil feels dry. This is not multiple times a day; rather, a few times per week, depending upon your soil.
The bulb that will fit in a regular socket is a CFL. It is a swirly flourescent energy saver light that is nice for growing plants too.
Keep your seedlings on constant light- 24 hours a day- until they reach sexual maturity at about 3-6 weeks old.
REad the link in my signature. It will tell you everyting you need to do a basic soil grow.

Pretty new myself and from what I have read anything under 30w-105W is not worth the time or effort (So get rid of em) And weak lights make for light airy buds. Yes CFL is Compact Florescent good price here Light bulbs, Rope Lights, Halogen and Fluorescent bulb - 1000-Bulbs - The Light Bulb Superstore. You will need cool whites for vegging and warm whites for flowering. Correct me if I am wrong I am pretty new but I have been doing LOTS of reading
Everything I write is false. Every picture I post is downloaded from the internet. I do this all just to be cool.. ahhh that was nice to get off my chest
imp:...And oh yea, I\'m a WOMAN!!!! :hippy:

Zim, what you need is to study what is already on this forum. No one is going to write a complete grow manual just for you, particularly when all of the information is already written multiple times on this site.

Browse through the different sections in the grow area here and check out the stickies at the tops of the sections. Then read, read, read and pretty soon you'll have a handle on things.
Good luck!
