can a 400w hps be used from veg thru flowering? also when i buy the hps should i wait until flowering to switch or switch asap. it is currently under 1 65w sylvania spot grow light in a bathroom with the bathroom lights turned on

if its in veg you need to put it on a light cycle of 18/6 and that hps will do a much better job than the other light you have. i say use the hps all the way through. (since you dont have any MH that is)

I say go buy a few 42 watt cool CFL's and veg with them. Use about 1/3 of the power and not have stretched plants. Then when flower time comes fire up the 400 watter and grow some budz.
