    Nostalgia

    Let's go back... way back...

What's something you remember from when you were a kid that you miss? It can be anything... a pasttime, a toy, a tv show, whatever...

I miss Ren and Stimpy... kids these days don't know what they're missin'. :stoned:

    1. Linkin Logs- Not sure if I spelled it correctly, but I had a lot of fun building log cabins and race tracks.

    2. Bob Ross - That painting guy on PBS who paints the "happy little trees." That was great programming.

And what the hell happened to Ren and Stimpy? They started releasing new episodes and the two of them were super gay. It kind of annoyed me... Why change a good show? Their were questions in the old episodes, but they didn't make it obvious. It was better that way.

Oh, shit... I know all about nostalgia. I feel like I'm an 80 year old man reflecting on his life sometimes. I miss good commercials (every commercial seemed like something I wanted to buy), Power Wheels, going to my dad's hippie friend's house and looking at random animals he had, and breast-feeding. I think everyone can relate to some of these things.

Dude, Bob Ross was awesome. Why does TV suck so much now? It seems like the standards for everything are going down the tubes. C'mon people, we don't have to settle for this shit! We're paying for it, aren't we?

And yeah, I saw some of those new R&S episodes, the best episodes by far were from back when John K. was directing. Them were the days.

I miss simple things like TV shows Skippy the bush kangaroo and Daktari (yes I know I'm sad) for instance.
Toys such as Clackers and my best bicycle ever my Raleigh Chopper.
Also miss the taste of original Milky Way chocolate why did they have to change it?

    Cheers

    Goosebumps by R.L. Stine.

    Long days of lego's.

Escaping the oppression of a mid-day nap to do mad-scientist experiments with old chemistry sets and batteries, bugs and magic.

Being read to by a gentle elementary teacher for hours on end, all year long,
and being part of an innocent group of kids all just wanting to laugh and play tag as soon as lunch was traded and the bartering turned to sugary bliss.

    Booby traps.

    Underwater tea parties.

    Whirlpools.

    Truth-or-Dare.

When shows like Doug or Rocko's modern world didn't make me want to... ?
