If there is a heaven do you feel you have been good enough to make it in?

If yes, please fill us in on yourself and the kind (pun intented) of person you are.

If no, please start a single file line so the nearest chatholic preist can bend you over thier knee to spank. (No offense chatholics just a joke)

Really if no, please fill us in on yourself and the things you might change if you could change them.

Good enough? By my own standards sure, by others probably not. I have no regrets.

I'm in the same boat. By my own standards I'd say yes but being judged by other people most likely not.

What standards do others judge people by?

If i could go back i would have done everything different.
Hmmm theres a few things in my life that would be sins so i guess i will either be staying here or going to hell.If there is such place as heaven then that is really where i hope i go.

This is a big reason why I don't concern myself with whether my actions are "heaven" appropriate, different people consider different things sinful. Not even the bible could be a definitive source for what will is and is not sin as extremists will say that things like masterbation and men with long hair are sinful, drugs and alcohol and sex are sinful etc.
I lie when it takes too much effort to tell the truth, unless the matter at hand is important, I do a lot of drugs, I masterbate frequently, I swear and by my standards all of this is perfectly acceptable. If you think about it, these things really don't harm anybody so why should I be thrown in hell for them?
    Life isn't permanent.

I'm a little bit different then you Null. The way I'm different is I don't concern myself with how others view me. The way I see it is everyone is convicted of different things. For example my father is a pastor just as I am a pastor. My father is convicted of curseing (although he does it in spanish) while I am not convicted of curseing because I was raised in this cursing world. Since I was 12 I'ver cursed. Another example is my father is convicted of drinking and of course smoking pot while I do both. I believe in God. I believe God judges everyones hearts not by some set rule but by that persons actions and reasons they act that way. The Bible is very confusing when it comes to rules. In the old Testament God gave rules to the people of that time. Everyone knows them they're the ten commandments. But of course like time has changed with my growing up and my fathers growing up the times changed in the Bible and they had to adapt and follow different rules. The cool thing about the Chrsitian beleif now adays is we don't follow the rules of the old testament like the Ten commandments. In the New Testament it gives the story of Jesus and why he came. It says he came because no one could up hold the strick rules of the old testament. They are simply to hard to follow so God had to make a way for people to be holy in his eyes. View it this way:

I'm on trial for buying and selling weed. The judge says you have been caught doing bad things. I reply but your not looking at all those times I was good. Of course he would throw those good things out the window because I'm not being tried for being good I am being tried for the supposed bad. The judge sentences me to prison for life (or death depending on the judge). No matter how much good I did I still did wrong and have to pay for it when along comes a long haired person (rebel) that says he'll pay my fines and do my time. All I have to do is accept it. Of course I would and I'd be very gracious to the person that paid my fine and did my time.

Thats what the Bible says Jesus did for all humans. Jesus came down to earth and paid our fine so that we could be made clean and sin free in God's eyes.

Sorry to rant and rave of my beliefs. I didn't mean to. I'm a pastor and it tends to come out of me no matter what the topic of conversation is.

If I was to be judged by others convictions and beliefs of right and wrong I would for sure not make it in heaven. I'm just glad I have faith that Jesus was real and did what the Bible says he did which means he took my sins away all of them even the ones I will commit later in life and even the masterbating in the show I did this morning. Thank you Lord for the grace you freely give.

Again sorry to get off topic it just happens to me. I'll try better to not jump so much off topic.

    Jugg-

By helping others you are fulfilling half of what the Bibles says we should be doing. Just thought you might like to know your half way to heaven. Or at least half way there in the Christian belief system.

Hmmm... like somebody else said - by my own standards i would go to heaven, and by other's standards i wouldnt, BUT, considering how fucked up this planet is, going to hell would probably be an improvement lol

Heaven and Hell are a state of mind.

Be at peace with yourself upon your death, you will go to whatever heaven pleases you. Die filled with shame and regret, and that will be your hell. I don't need anyone telling me where I'll go when I die.
