how much hash will i get...?

im gettin an ouncer tommorow... hopefully. ive never made hash before and i was gonna try it with a quarter. how much hash do you think i could get from just a quarter? i have a silk screen also, so i was gonna get the kief out that way and then do nochowderforyou's method.

It varies on the potency. If it was snowed on by the Ganja gods and goddesses, a 1/4oz will still not yield much. You might be able to yield a gram or so of potent kief. But I'm not sure - it all depends on how well you perform during the process of making the hash, and which technique you're using. Nochowder's technique is good for making potent finger hash from pressed kief. Just know that you won't yield much... but it will be much more potent, so it might kind of even out. However, Nochowder's technique requires potent ganja. If you don't have that potent stuff, then you can expect even less. It is a good idea to only put a 1/4oz in, instead of the whole oz, like you're doing.

Post some pictures when you're done. Tell us how it is, and how much you yielded . A smoke report would be nice.

Yes, it all depends on the quality and how "resin" coated the buds are. Kif or hash, is basically all of those tiny, little white crystals you see on your buds. Some cannabis produces much more trich's than some others, so the more trichs/crystals your buds have, the more kif/hash you will yeild.

So yeah, trichs usually mean a potent smoke, but that doesn't mean cannabis that has less trichs isn't potent either. I have had some surprising smoke that looked not that great, but was a potent smoke.

Sativas tend to produce less resin than Indicas. Indicas pack trichs and are prime for hash making.

A 1/4 of high quality weed though will give you only a gram or so of smoke.

You could also try to make hash oil... it works with all kinds of weed. Of course, better the weed, better the hash oil.
