My husband occasionally tells me--and I consider this a high compliment--that one of the reasons he loves me is that I know how to be quiet and don't always have to fill empty air time. I think not having to articulate every thought that comes through our head is a good thing, particularly for women. It helps us maintain more control and promote an aura of mystery.

although i'm not that way, i can't stand silence, but i don't want it filled with talking... music mostly. hell if i'm playing a game that doesn't really have alot of sound to it, i'll turn on my tv just for the noise...

i can't stand that ringing of silence.. i never could.
