did i screw it up?

i have a plant thats 15 inches tall now. from the start i i was told by a friend to have it on 12/12. but i now see on here that its supposed to be 18/6 for the veg stage. 2 days ago i started 18/6. my question is did this fuck up my plant from the get go or is there a chance its gonna be ok? is it hermi now for sure or is is poss to be female in flowering stage?

also has been under 1 sylvania spot grow 65w flood light. do i need more or something different

well all that messing with may have coused it to tur hermi on ya but then again since it wasnt a clone you dont really know if its a boy or girl till you flower it.You need way more light than what you have go on ebay and search grow lights there cheqap what space are you growing in you should get atleast a 400 watt hps or mh light also if i were you i would leave the light on 24/7 that what lots of people to but anyways it will die if you dont do something about the light problems you are having

First of all, regular type lights are not that good for plants. Fluoros, Cfls, HPS and metal halide work fine.

There was a post over at IC where a dude was doing 12/12 from seed to rush budding. I imagine it cut into his harvest weight.

Is your plant showing it's sex yet? (There are thousands of pictures of female and male plants here, so find one, I ain't going to post one.) If not, things should be ok. Even if it has buds, you CAN reveg it (do a search). And do you know about cloning? :thumbsup: (another search)

It may, or may not, hermie (Have both male and female flowers), depends on the strain. This just means your first crop will be seeded. Get a wire mesh strainer from the kitchen and sift it like a hippie! If only a few male flowers appear, just pick them off. Hermies are usually considered as undesirable since a lot of the bud's weight is seeds, but potency will not be affected very much. I'd just toss the seeds off in the boonies.

first off thank you both for the helpful info!. i am goiong to look at better lighting thursday when i get paid again (is a 400w HPS ok for veg as well as flower?). this plant is not showing sex yet. it is 15 in tall ut only has 3 sets of 2leaves stemming off, not counting the tiny leaves that are first to pop out of the ground at the bottom of the plant. and is shooting up another 2 leaves from the very top and shooting out at the base of the stem of the other 2 leaf branches where they meet the main stem. im thinking this strain is def a sativa since its got so tall without bushing out yet. if my girlfriend can find her usb cable to her digi camera i will take pics and post my whole setup. thanks again all info is greatly appreciated! my girlfriend thought growing would be scary but she and i have found out this is alot of fun! even if its only a few bowls of yield the satisfaction of smoking my 1st grow be worth it!!!
